2025 Southern Decadence Walking Parade Line Up

NEW STUFF THIS YEAR:
Line up is staggered this year to cut back on chaos. Your time is listed in the lineup. Whichever person in your group arrives first will self check. The check in sheet will be hanging on the building near the corner of Royal and Barracks, next to the Help Desk by putting a check mark next to your group name. Go to address listed and stand behind whoever is in front of you in the lineup. There will be Parade Nerds there to help you if you need it.
When you contact your people, give them the lineup number, address, and group they will be behind.
I'll also have line up numbers in chalk on the ground for those who like the old system.
Our one and only rule is of course, DON'T BE AN ASSHOLE.
Let me give you an example: Just because you have a sound system that can broadcast your playlist to the rings of Saturn, doesn't mean you should, ho. Take it on down a notch so that the groups ahead and behind you can booty pop to their own music.
That being said, tell your banner bearers not to hump the legs of the group ahead of them. Their job is to hold enough space for your group that you can enjoy your own music.
There is going to be a 5 minute stop sometime during the parade to give the Marshals time to rearrange and coalesce into SD Voltron, their ultimate form. Other than that, we should move pretty smoothly this year. Hopefully.
When you get to the end of the route, you'll see some of my Parade Nerds waving checkered flags. Either exit stage left (towards Rampart) or keep on going. It's up to you. Either way, KEEP MOVING. There are people behind you waiting to pass the finish line.
The addresses are just guides. Each address will have several groups. Go there and stand behind whoever is in the lineup in front of you. You can also look for your number on the ground in chalk or ask a Parade Nerd at the Help Desk.
